Martha
Ahmadi, ND
Licensed
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine
Martha
brings to her naturopathic family
practice an interest in Women & Children's health. Since 2005, she
has observed the effectiveness of basic naturopathic treatments in
addressing a wide array of health concerns including stress management,
anxiety, hormonal imbalances, eczema, ADHD, ear infections, chronic
immune concerns, digestive disturbances, high cholesterol, and
fatigue.
She
believes that it is essential to consider the mind & body when
providing care for clients, as true healing cannot be realized unless a
sense of wellness is experienced in each area. Treatment plans are
designed to provide the necessary support for achieving &
maintaining optimal health, and can include referrals to other health
care professionals. Martha truly believes the power and capacity to
heal lies within each individual, and views her work with clients as a
partnership—Martha acting as a guide and catalyst for change, and
clients learning how to take control of their health.

Kailey Mireault, RHN
Registered Holistic
Nutritionist
Kailey
Mireault studied at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN).
Last year she graduated from their extensive program as a Registered
Holistic Nutritionist (RHN). Through her studies she has kept a focus
on preventative health care through good nutrition. As North Americans,
we are raised on Conventional Medicine which doesn't emphasize the
importance of eating good quality, fresh, nutritional foods. With the
availability and variety of modified foods found at the grocery stores
these days, it's sometimes hard to tell what it all means. As a
Holistic Nutritionist, Kailey's goal is to provide her patients with
knowledge regarding all types of foods so they can make both educated
and balanced dietary choices. She offers personalized diet and
lifestyle programs to optimize immunity, prevent disease and to improve
overall vitality.
Kailey also manages
the GNC in the Kanata Centrum. She has been providing her customers
with nutritional and supplemental advice for over six years now. Over
the years Kailey has helped her customers reach their goals, whether
they involve weight management, allergy management, detoxification,
digestive problems, diabetes, cardiovascular related issues or other
specific illnesses.
Kailey is currently
extending her education in the Advanced Nutrition graduate program at
CSNN.
Erin Whyte
Registered Massage Therapist
Erin draws on five years of past clinical
experience and her own experience of being a "body in motion" when it comes to
her therapy practice. Her desire to impact people's lives is echoed in her motto,
"I want to work with people, not on people".
Her active lifestyle in sports and love
of the outdoors allows her to bring first-hand experience of muscle function and
dysfunction to the table. Mountain biking, kayaking, running and ultimate frisbee
all provide their own physical challenges that she draws upon to help her treat
others with similar issues.
As a registered therapist, her own body
biomechanics are paramount in sustaining longevity in the workplace; this provides a
solid base for understanding postural imbalances, repetitive strain and issues that
arise due to stress in any work environment.
As a supervisor for Algonquin College's
Student Outreach at the Ottawa Mission her passion for providing safe, compassionate
touch to individuals who may have experienced otherwise are met in weekly interaction
with the residents of the shelter. She believes that touch is a cornerstone in
society's ability to be empathetic towards one another and to feel nurtured in our
individual lives. To this end she strives to bring to all treatments an element of
trust, safety and unbiased care.
